Please be aware…

- Since 99.9% of our patients have brown eyes, we may take longer time to get iris color if you have blue or gray irises. Also, Blue-Gray irises are created by different techniques from what we use for brown-hazel irises.

-We afraid that we can't work on prosthesis created by other ocularists.

-We accept Japanese Yen and in cash only.

-You may or may not experience something you have had in ocularist's lab in your home country but we will greatly appreciate if you understand that we must respect and follow Japanese regulation.

We travel!

We visit some hospitals in every prefecture in Kyushu once in every month including Okinawa. If you live in Kyushu including Okinawa and wish to get ocular prosthesis, please contact us about our travel schedule and which hospitals we visit closest to your home!

However, we recommend you to visit us at Fukuoka if it's possble. We can spend more time on each patients at our own lab also, if your new ocular prosthesis needs miner adjustments, we can most likely get it done in 2-3 hours while you have to wait until next appointment which is a month away if you only see us at our travel destinations.

Visiting from Overseas?

If you are traveling from overseas to get your ocular prosthesis, please plan to stay at least a week in Japan. Longer is better because we usualually ask our patients to take their new prosthesis home and wear it for at least a week to see if everything working fine or if it needs  any change or adjustment. If you have complexed socket, it may take longer time as you may need to arange another trip to Japan to come back to us. We can't guarantee you how long or how short your stay could be untill we see your socket. We will tell you approximate time you  would need upon your first visit.  
Hotels in Fukuoka are affordable than they are in Tokyo, so if you are considering to visit Japan to get your new ocular prosthesis, it may be a helpful option.

 You don’t need to come in to our lab every day, so you can enjoy your own time in Japan. Fukuoka is very famous for our tasty local foods! Also, Kyushu is well known for many great hot springs. You can take day trips to few of them between your apointments if you like. Our lab is placed in walking distance from Hakata station which is a major train station in Kyushu. From Hakata Station, you can access to almost all major cities. You could even take bulled train to visit major Japanese sights such as Hiroshima.
